Electronic warfare is an essential area of investment for all military organisations. However, even with nearly $30billion expected to be spent in this area, current operations have suffered combat-related losses to unsophisticated air defence systems.

Development of EW technology, upgrades to the EW systems in aircraft and the most innovative tactics and training have not stopped the threat of advanced radar and IR-guided weapon technologies. The proliferation of Man-Portable Air Defence Systems (MANPADS) represents an immediate challenge that must be tackled urgently and despite all efforts of the defence industry air crews are still at high risk.

Defence IQ’s Electronic Warfare (EW) conference is widely recognised by the community as the key event in the calendar providing insights, technological developments and programme updates from airborne platforms in use across the world. It is an essential networking opportunity to meet peers responsible for setting future requirements for platform protection and airborne electronic attack capabilities.
